HelpBridge Bangladesh Social Development Society
HBSD Society operates a dedicated Agro-Business Program designed to transform subsistence farming into a sustainable and profitable livelihood. Established as a response to the economic challenges faced by rural communities, the program serves as a bridge between traditional agricultural practices and modern, market-driven agribusiness.
Through its Livelihood Farm initiatives, HBSD Society focuses on creating “Agripreneurs”—individuals who are not just farmers, but business owners capable of managing the entire value chain.
The HBSD Society Advantage:
- Farm Business Management: Training in record-keeping, enterprise budgeting, and measuring farm profitability.
- Climate-Smart Agriculture: Implementation of water-efficient irrigation, organic pest management, and soil health restoration.
- Market Linkages & Value Chains: Teaching farmers how to grade, sort, and package products to meet the standards of urban supermarkets and export markets.
- Agri-Tech Integration: Utilizing mobile applications for real-time weather alerts, market price tracking, and digital financial services.
Unlike standard training institutes, HBSD Society provides Financial Inclusion support. Graduates of the Agro-Business Program gain direct access to the HBSD Society Microfinance Program, allowing them to secure the capital needed to start their own poultry farms, greenhouses, or processing units.
By focusing on Livelihood Improvement, HBSD Society is not just teaching skills—it is building a resilient rural economy where every farm is a business and every worker is empowered.
